DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Borough Council is askin
 g local residents and community centre users to help develop their ambitio
 us plans to revitalise Horley Community Centre. The community engagement w
 ill run until Sunday 10 August and will include a public exhibition and a 
 survey.\nThe community centre\, which was built around 40 years ago\, need
 s significant modernisation and\, with its existing layout\, cannot meet c
 urrent needs or community aspirations. In May this year the Council’s Ex
 ecutive approved the project to modernise the building following considera
 tion of a report\, which included an outline of the feasibility and option
 s study. \nThe Council expects it will need to close Horley Community Cent
 re for several months whilst the modernisation work takes place\, but this
  is not expected until summer 2026 at the earliest\, giving the Council ti
 me to work with centre users on plans for interim arrangements\, which wil
 l include Horley-based activities.\nDrop-in to the exhibition at Horley Co
 mmunity Centre on Albert Road in Horley and talk to members of the project
  team\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]\n
